The Jester Comes Alive On The Set Of Crowley’s Tomb: Exclusive Interview With Johnny Rothschild

Q-           How did you get into acting?

I got into acting by the suggestion of the Director of SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando.

Q-           Who are your favorite actors or actresses that influenced you on your way to becoming an actor?   

Sean Connery and Robin Williams.

Q-           What other roles have you played before Crowley’s Tomb?

Bartender, Doctor,  Mob Boss and Zombie Slayer.

Q-           Do you prefer to play villains or heroes? Why?

I have no preference as whatever role I play, I am loving life!

Q-           If you could be in any movie what would it be and why?

Die Hard 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Ha. I would love to play a part of that type of action with guns and blowing stuff up. I like movies that combine action with comedy.

Q-           Where did you hear about the casting call for Crowley’s Tomb?

Q-           What interested you in being part of Crowley’s Tomb?

The opportunity to be made up with makeup. That did not happen but the experience in costume was awesome. Being on set is an amazing feeling.

Q-           Are you a horror fan?

As an actor.

Q-           What character did you play in Crowley’s Tomb?

The Evil Jester.

Q-           What can you tell us about your character?

He likes to CHOP OFF HEADS!!

Q-           What were some of your favorite moments on the set of Crowley’s Tomb?

Certainly chopping off a head and having a bit of makeup put on by that cute blond lady!

Q-           Tell us about what the atmosphere was like on set in the cemetery?

Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there the day of filming at the cemetery.

Q-           Do you have any ghost or paranormal activity stories to share with us today?

I have cedar ceilings in my home. There is a mirror on one wall and when you are sitting on the couch and look into the mirror you can see a face embedded in the cedar. Ohhhhhhh

Q-           What was it like working with an all star team such as Writer Casey Moore, Director Ricardo Protheus   Rodriquez, and Producer Nathan Taupez?

Absolute fun. Very Professional.

Q-           What horror movies impacted you growing up?

Night of the Living Dead scared the shit out of me.

Q-           What actor or actress did you think really stood out on the set of Crowley’s Tomb other than yourself?

Pig Man def gets the nod. How intimidating!

Q-           If you could be any character in Crowley’s Tomb who would it be and why?

I liked my character.

Q-           Away from acting what are some of your hobbies?

Sports and beer!!

Q-           What did you think after you saw the trailer of Crowley’s Tomb?


Q-           What current projects are you working on?

I have a role as a high school football coach in a film titled Safe Haven which you can find on Facebook and a role of a mobster in an upcoming feature film which I cannot divulge as of yet.

Q-           What would you like the fans to know about yourself? 

My ambitions, dreams and expectations for something big to happen to me within this industry are huge however, if those goals are not met, I will be fine with that because not only is the ride awesome but most people are watching TV and movies while I am trying to be on them. I would rather die trying than not to try at all.
