Q- How did you get into acting?
I am a BIG movie / film fan. I’ve always fantasized about playing on TV in my favorite show or movie. After retiring from the Air Force I decided I was going to do something that was going to make me happy every day. So I starting turning my hobby into a career and couldn’t be happier.
Q- Who are your favorite actors or actresses that influenced you on your way to becoming an actress?
Oh my! There are just too many! Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie just to name a few. They have such diverse talent and the ability to play so many different types of characters and make them so believable, real and relatable. They bring such a classy sexiness to the screen that I love and aspire to be.
Q- What other roles have you played before Crowley’s Tomb?
I’m pretty new to the whole acting scene. I’ve done a few extra rolls and a couple of commercials. Nothing big yet.
Q- Do you prefer to play villains or heroes? Why?
My first thought would be to say Heroes because I’m generally a good person, always helping others, etc. But in actuality I would have to say I prefer to play the villain more often than not. Everyone has that darker side they keep hidden away. We always joke and play on the ‘what – ifs’, what would we do if we were evil? I love playing the villain because it allows me to let the bad guy come out and play.
Q- If you could be in any movie what would it be and why?
I always wanted to be in X-Men or something like that. I am a huge comic book fan, mostly old school DC and Marvel. And honestly, who hasn’t dreamed of having super powers? And maybe Dawn of the Dead or The Walking Dead, I love a good zombie adventure.
Q- Where did you hear about the casting call for Crowley’s Tomb?
I believe I came across the call for Crowley’s Tomb on Greenroom Orlando while browsing local casting listings.
Q- What interested you in being part of Crowley’s Tomb?
I got interesting the book and film because it has that supernatural aspect to it. The whole good vs. evil play on things. I enjoy stories with that type of struggle and adventure, so that got my attention from the start.
Q- Are you a horror fan?
Definitely. I enjoy the old school films like Evil Dead, Dracula, The Shining, Michael Myers, Chucky, etc. Cheesy, but classic. I like a little gore, but I’m more into psychological horror stories and I’m a big fan jump scares!
Q- What character did you play in Crowley’s Tomb?
I play the part of the Evil Temptress.
Q- What can you tell us about your character?
She’s this mysterious, sexy, alluring evil seductress that plays for the Devils team. The Cemetery Boys encounter her along their journey trying to escape Crowley’s Tomb.
Q- What were some of your favorite moments on the set of Crowley’s Tomb?
Some of my favorite times on set were when we were all waiting for the scenes to get set up and everyone was huddled together trying to stay warm. We all told each other stories, talked about acting, our hobbies and good times, we just laughed and had an absolute blast together. Like we were old friends seeing each other after a long time.
Q- Tell us about what the atmosphere was like on set in the cemetery?
The atmosphere while filming on set in the cemetery was like two sides of the same coin. On one hand it was fun, lighthearted with everyone laughing, joking, and having a good time together. But at the same time, as the night went on it got creepier, the set had more haunting, chilling feel to it that I think touched everyone (and I’m not just talking about the weather!).
Q- Do you have any ghost or paranormal activity stories to share with us today?
I think we all had some kind of personal experience while filming, especially on set in the cemetery. You can ask pretty much anyone there, I had a couple of close calls. I kept getting harassed by wandering spirits, lol. Like I would be fine the first few takes of a shot then all of a sudden I would just trip and fall, like I was being pushed. It was weird because on several occasions I kept getting that eerie feeling like there was someone right behind me, ya know? And then you turn and no one is there, like someone’s hand resting on my shoulder and there be nothing there. I never said anything on set because I thought it was just me being a clumsy weirdo, but it gave me goosebumps in a spooky kinda way.
Q- What was it like working with an all star team such as Writer Casey Moore, Director Ricardo Protheus Rodriquez, and Producer Nathan Taupez?
It was awe inspiring. They were all such professionals with fun loving personalities. The directors were so easy to get along with, everyone just instantly clicked, since day one walking on set was like coming to hang out and work with your best friends. Casey, Pro and Nate had such a clear vision of what Crowley’s Tomb was to become that it inspired everyone else to jump in and make it come to life.
Q- What horror movies impacted you growing up?
I would say I was most impacted by the psychological thriller type of horror movies like Psycho and the Hannibal Lector series, while growing up. They influenced me to pursue my degree in criminology and criminal psychology. There’s just something about watching a killers mind unfold that really interested me.
Q- What actor or actress did you think really stood out on the set of Crowley’s Tomb other than yourself?
I think everyone did such an amazing job at bringing their character to life, it makes it hard to choose just one. But if I had to pick one I would say Spencer Hojdila in the role of ‘Pig Man’ stood out to me the most. His towering size alone was intimidating, but when he put on that pig mask and got into character it was really chilling. He had a way of making subtle movements like a simple turn of his head while creepily standing next to you just terrifying.
Q- If you could be any character in Crowley’s Tomb who would it be and why?
If I could be anybody in Crowley’s Tomb I would probably be Pig Man, just so I can chase everybody around with a giant chainsaw! LOL!
Q- Away from acting what are some of your hobbies?
I’m kind of just a big nerd. I love books and playing video games and pigging out on pizza while watching my favorite shows and going to the movies on the weekend. I enjoy a good outdoorsy adventure sometimes like rock climbing and kayaking.
Q- What did you think after you saw the trailer of Crowley’s Tomb?
I was absolutely blown away. I mean, I knew it was gonna be great, but it just went above and beyond anything I imagined. When I saw how everything came together with the characters, music and special effects, I was left speechless and cheering and clapping like a little fan girl!
Q- What current projects are you working on?
I am currently doing some commercial work and an untitled student film.
Q- What would you like the fans to know about yourself?
Just to remember the name because “though she be but little she is fierce”!
